UnitedHealthcare Donates $2,500 to Food Bank of the Rockies for Upcoming Holiday Season
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (Nov. 18, 2010) - UnitedHealthcare has donated $2,500 to Food Bank of the Rockies to help the nonprofit provide nutritious food to residents in need in Colorado and Wyoming during the upcoming holiday season.
Food Bank of the Rockies last year distributed 35.7 million pounds of food through nearly 800 partner agencies, providing the equivalent of 27.9 million meals for hungry children, seniors and families. Those efforts helped support more than 1,100 hunger-relief programs in Northern Colorado, Metro Denver and Wyoming.

UnitedHealthcare has a history of supporting food banks in Colorado and nationwide. In addition to financial contributions, UnitedHealthcare employees are also currently collecting canned goods to be delivered to Food Bank of the Rockies before Thanksgiving.
