MIRAMAR, Fla. (Nov. 28, 2011) – The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has named UnitedHealthcare's PlanBienSM "Health Care Program of the Year" for its innovative suite of health plans that enhance the health and well-being of Spanish-speaking residents.

PlanBien was recognized at the chamber's 17th annual Sunshine Awards ceremony where UnitedHealthcare of South Florida was among nearly 30 local businesses and organizations honored for its contributions and achievements within the Hispanic community.

"As one of the largest Hispanic chambers of commerce in the United States, we are proud to see that there is a health care program that's specifically designed for Hispanics with all the program information in Spanish. The program is provided at no additional cost to employers or plan participants and allows customers to access UnitedHealthcare's national care provider network of more than 650,000 physicians and 5,000 hospitals.
