Nearly 1 in 3 teens who are dating admit they have experienced some of the most serious forms of dating violence and abuse, including threats and physical or sexual harm. However, research shows that parents are talking to their children about dating abuse far less than other risky behaviors like drugs or alcohol.
Participants will learn to recognize the warning signs of teen dating abuse, and will get information about the many prevention and intervention resources available. We will also explore the steps that interested adults can take to address the problem, equipping them to educate others in their own communities and help save lives.
