UnitedHealthcare Texas teams volunteer to make meaningful, local impact

Local teams in Central and Southern Texas landscaped and packed food boxes for local non-profit and families in need.

In addition to being dedicated to helping people live healthier lives and making the health system work better for everyone, local UnitedHealthcare teams like to give back to their communities.

In Central Texas, the UnitedHealthcare team recently volunteered at the New Braunfels Food Bank, serving those in New Braunfels as well as communities in Southwest Texas. During their time at the food bank, they sorted and packed over 500 boxes of food to feed more than 500 families.

And in Houston, the UnitedHealthcare South Texas team worked with SpringSpirit, a non-profit organization providing at-risk youth with safe pathways through sports, education and mentoring programs. After supplying a HOPE Grant that was put towards materials for the event, the team spent an afternoon painting new parking lot lines as well as planting, mulching and transferring sand and bricks at their main baseball facility.
