Introducing 2026 Small Group Flex Compensation for business sold in Florida
Beginning Jan. 1, 2026, there will be a new 2026 Florida Flex Compensation model for fully insured groups in Florida.
For brokers who sell small group business in Florida, there will be a new 2026 Florida Flex Compensation model for UnitedHealthcare fully insured medical groups with up to 50 eligible employees sitused in Florida beginning on or after Jan. 1, 2026.
Designed to offer greater transparency, flexibility and competitiveness, this new model reflects our commitment to supporting both broker independence and choice, while working to remain competitive in the Florida market.
Key highlights on what this means:
- Broker choice: Brokers may manage cases directly or through a General Agent (GA), based on their needs and servicing preferences.
- Simplified structure: Predictable, commission-based earnings replace traditional bonuses.
- GA assignment and timing: Direct brokers see no change; brokers working through GAs will see compensation updates apply at renewal.
- PPG details: Full guidelines will be in Florida’s 2026 Producer Performance Guide, available late 2025 on uhceservices.com
This new Florida Flex Compensation model applies to brokers who sell UnitedHealthcare fully insured small group business located in Florida. Please reach out to your assigned UnitedHealthcare 2–50 representative if you have any questions on what this means to you.
