Level funded plan termination notice requirement update

• All level funded plan terminations must now be submitted at least 15 business days prior to the requested termination date
• Notices submitted with fewer than 15 business days may result in:
  • Processing delays that may result in the plan remaining active beyond the requested termination date
  • Additional plan costs

Existing level funded groups will receive the updated termination notice requirement in their renewal package and, at plan renewal, will receive an updated Administrative Services Agreement (ASA) with the updated language reflected in Section 9 – Terminations.
