Since we introduced additional options last year for you and your clients to choose from when submitting off-cycle enrollments due to a Qualifying Event,1 we are pleased to report the expanded list is helping us meet our objectives for timely and accurate processing. Your support in this area, in particular, is helping improve service to our UnitedHealthcare and Oxford small business fully insured customers who use — and we thank you. option

We also want to take this opportunity to remind you about the option for submitting off-cycle, Qualifying Event enrollments online and the new feature for uploading supporting documentation. We anticipate using the producer and employer website,, for these requests to be the most efficient option yet. If you have not yet explored this method, we encourage you to do so.

Qualifying Event enrollment requests are simpler and quicker online

  1. Sign in to
  2. Under quick access links, click Enrollment and choose either New Member or Dependent, depending on whom you are enrolling
  3. Select Reason for Enrollment from the drop-down menu
  4. Under Reason for Enrollment, click the Document hyperlink to view the supporting documentation we accept for off-cycle enrollment requests
  5. Provide the remaining information requested on the page — the Date of the Qualifying Event and the Requested Effective Date
  6. Lastly, on the Review & Submit page, confirm the information shown is accurate and you may use the new, optional feature for uploading supporting documentation
