UnitedHealthcare, Capital Women’s Care reach multi-year agreement that restores network access

We’ve reached a multi-year agreement that provides people enrolled in the following UnitedHealthcare plans network access to Capital Women’s Care (CWC). The agreement is retroactive to Jan. 1, 2026.

  • Employer-sponsored commercial plans
  • Individual Family Plan (IFP)
  • Medicare Advantage plans, including Group Retiree and Dual Special Needs Plan (D-SNP)
  • Medicaid plans

“We understand how difficult and deeply personal this negotiation has been for people and their families,” said Joseph Ochipinti, UnitedHealthcare CEO, Mid-Atlantic region. “Our top priority has always been to reach an agreement that is affordable for the people we serve. We are pleased to renew our relationship with CWC and are honored to continue supporting all of the people throughout Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C. who depend on us for access to quality, affordable care.”

UnitedHealthcare members should call the number on their health plan ID card if they have questions or need assistance finding a provider. We encourage members to contact CWC if they are seeking to schedule an appointment.

Please do not hesitate to contact your UnitedHealthcare representative if you have any questions.
