New Orleans Saints and UnitedHealthcare unveil Get Fit youth fitness zone at Harriet Tubman Charter School

This new youth fitness zone gives Harriet Tubman students an opportunity to increase their physical activity and combat childhood obesity.

The New Orleans Saints and UnitedHealthcare introduced a Get Fit youth fitness zone in early February at the Harriet Tubman Charter School in New Orleans’ Algiers neighborhood.

Designed as part of the NFL PLAY 60 initiative, the new fitness zone gives students at the Algiers campus of the Harriet Tubman Charter School greater access to equipment and tools that can help increase physical activity and fight childhood obesity.

On Feb. 2, 2022, about 80 students toured and tried the new fitness zone. New Orleans Saints players and staff and UnitedHealthcare volunteers also educated students about the importance of physical activity and healthy nutrition.

New Orleans Saints players Payton Turner (98), Nick Vannett (81) and Will Clapp (64), and members of the Saints Cheer Krewe welcome Harriet Tubman Charter School students to their new Get Fit youth fitness zone, donated by UnitedHealthcare and the New Orleans Saints.
