Michigan volunteers support local families navigating the NICU

Volunteers at UnitedHealthcare’s Michigan office packaged over 500 care packages to help support the ‘Today is Good Day’ sponsorship. The care packages will be distributed to parents with newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Bronson Children’s Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The care packages include carefully selected items, such as: a ‘On the Night You Were Born’ book, a swaddle set, ‘One Day at a Time’ bracelets, bonding squares, resource cards and more. In addition, the care packages contain personal stories from families who who have had children in the NICU.
