Nebraska team hosts back-to-school drive

As the back-to-school season approaches, it’s vital that Omaha-area students have the tools and resources they need to succeed in school. To help school-age children get the supplies they need to succeed this school year, UnitedHealthcare teamed up with WOWT TV again to support the 2022 Stuff the Bus backpack drive.

Setting students up for success in their education is key to a thriving community and economy. UnitedHealthcare knows this and is proud to be a part of this effort to collect backpacks and school supplies for those children who need it most.

Most people think of UnitedHealthcare as only a health insurance company. But we’re much more than that. We are part of the community here in Nebraska. With over 700 employees located in the state alone, UnitedHealthcare actively helps people live healthier lives by addressing social determinants of health like food, housing, transportation, social isolation, safety net services and preparing kids for their return to school.

Stuff the Bus backpack drive in Omaha is a great example of the collaboration that is crucial to the future well-being of Nebraskans. Education is not only an important part of growing up — it is also a crucial factor in a child's future.
