UnitedHealthcare is now providing 51+ groups in Michigan and Wisconsin the opportunity to offer employees the flexibility to choose their level of deductible and corresponding out-of-pocket limit to best meet their family’s needs.
With Personal Protect plans from UnitedHealthcare, employers simply choose a base plan with a standard deductible and out-of-pocket limit. During enrollment, employees can choose the base plan, or they can enhance their benefits by opting for a lower deductible and out-of-pocket limit with a slightly higher monthly premium — helping minimize the risk of unexpected expenses.
Key benefits to these 100% coinsurance plans include copays for everyday services including:
- $0 child PCP copay
- $15 adult PCP copay
- $0 Virtual Visit copay
Members receive credit for every dollar spent because the copayments go toward the annual out-of-pocket limit. Once a member satisfies their deductible, network services are paid at 100% coinsurance.
These plans are designed to simplify decision making by offering a single plan that features several employee-level options while providing employees with more choice, without affecting the employer’s bottom line.
