COVID-19 vaccination: 2nd Dose Outreach Program
UnitedHealthcare and OptumRx are planning reminder programs once members receive the first dose of either the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.

Together, UnitedHealthcare and OptumRx recognize the importance of coordinating efforts to support our members receiving COVID-19 vaccinations. UnitedHealthcare and OptumRx are planning reminder programs once members receive the first dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. Members will receive 2nd Dose Reminder communications and 2nd Dose Missed communications from either OptumRx or UnitedHealthcare depending upon where the vaccine is obtained.
OptumRx will call members who obtained their first dose through their pharmacy benefit and have missed their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Members will receive this phone call 2 days after the second dose is missed.
UnitedHealthcare will initiate a 2nd Dose Reminder and similar Missed Dose Program for vaccines billed through the medical benefit. Details will be announced in the coming weeks.
