Thinking about defining integration. I think it's the idea of simplicity. Integration has to be a proposition of simplifying the system, ease of use by bringing more of the pieces together.

Simplicity drives value
And from that simplicity, the member experience will be enabled to drive a higher value, which we will observe by better health choices within the system, on behalf of the member.
We're orchestrating, we're assembling the features that live within each of those benefit components, elements of medical, predictive analytics on the medical benefits side.
You think about the dental care events happening on those benefits as members go visit their dentist.
You think about those pharmacy interactions, which are a very high volume, one of the highest volume and in the whole benefits spectrum.
And you really are unpacking these features and these interactions, and then looking for the patterns that can enhance the best value and reassembling the experience.
To allow this orchestration to happen, there has to be a common, platform, where the, the aspects of member data.

1T digitally interactions annually
222M patient visits annually
So all these activities get connected. So the next person to interact with a member, those pieces of data are actually coming together, when they're relevant

Rule engine
that aspect of common data and common rules engine is really to allow the system to remove friction and really avoid the member, having to figure out or the doctor having to figure out what has been done and what should be done so that what's left, is really, the element of motivating each other for better health.

Health motivation
I think when we're an employer's challenge with, should I carve in, bring everything together on an integrated basis, our carve, or carve out, the questions really have to relate to the value being proposed for the member, across the areas

Lower costs
Better health care quality
Simpler experience
of affordability, quality and simplicity.
The diligence being put on value creation is missed and too often, the carve out proposition seems to be reclaiming or double counting value that is already existing in the system.
So for us, the responsibility on us is really to show

Deliver net new value through integration
how net new value is really created with the carve in proposition.

How to measure integration
If employers are going to bring more benefits under one roof. We have to make sure we're reciprocating back with an integrated measurement proposition so that we can take advantage of those benefits coming together.

Through simplicity enabled by integration, which means I'm able to bring more of the pieces together, remove some of the waste and the experience to enable a better proposition and more time and resources to truly improve the quality of health care choices.
And from that higher quality of health care choices, the currency of affordability can be better realized on a sustainable basis.
