UnitedHealthcare introduces new health care choices in North Central Indiana

South Bend-area employers in Indiana now have the potential to save up to 15% on monthly premiums1 with UnitedHealthcare Charter® health plans. UnitedHealthcare designed the plans to group independent primary care physicians (PCPs) and specialists into a quality network designed to deliver a new competitive option to employers seeking more affordable, patient-centered health plans. The Select Health Network will now have access to Optum analytics to help enhance health care decisions and lower costs.

Benefits of UnitedHealthcare Charter health plans include:

  • Access to quality providers within the Select Health Network, with network preventive care covered by most plans at 100%
  • Employees who regularly see a trusted PCP have a 19% lower risk of premature death than those who see only specialists2
  • More ways for employees to connect to care, including 24/7 Virtual Visits

Eligible employees have access to 4 hospitals and 1,000+ providers across Select Health Network, Saint Joseph Health System, The South Bend Clinic, Allied Physicians of Michiana, and Family Medicine of South Bend and others to support a new offering with potential savings.
