ONSCREEN TEXT: Controlling costs
It’s all part of the plan
Four webcam feeds, each showing a different person in an office, appear in a square. The top-left feed fills the view. Text appears over a man with greying hair parted to the left.
ONSCREEN TEXT: Greg Reidy
CEO, Southeast Region
UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual
GREG: Cost management is top of mind for every customer, every broker, every relationship that we have in the marketplace.
Another feed slides in from the right side of the view, replacing Greg’s feed. Text appears over a woman with shoulder-length blonde hair and a blue jacket.
ONSCREEN TEXT: Elizabeth Winsor
CEO, Northeast Region
UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual
ELIZABETH: Employers want to make sure that they’re offering a very cost-effective program for themselves, but also for their employees and their employees’ family members.
Another feed slides in, replacing Elizabeth’s feed. Text appears over a man with short greying hair.
ONSCREEN TEXT: Brett Edelson
CEO, Minnesota – South Dakota – North Dakota
UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual
BRETT: Managing cost is not something that any one of us can do alone. Everyone plays a part in this, and UnitedHealthcare is in the role of ensuring that we’re all aligned and moving together with programs that will work.
Another feed slides in, replacing Brett’s feed. Text appears over a woman with shoulder-length brown hair wearing a dark blue blazer.
ONSCREEN TEXT: Kristen Rivers
VP, Key Accounts, West Region
UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual
KRISTEN: Every carrier you talk to has a total cost of care value proposition that they’ll bring to the table. So, what I would tell you about what we do specific to an organization, is bring together all of the components that drive costs in the system.
Text appears over a blue background.
ONSCREEN TEXT: Lowering costs through
high-quality networks
Kristen’s feed appears.
KRISTEN: While we have a variety of performance networks that we can offer that are centered around the PCP and directing members care appropriately…
A web of circles appear containing illustrations of a pill bottle, a doctor’s coat, a healthcare cross, a doctor’s coat with a stethoscope, an H, a wallet, and the neckline of blue scrubs. The illustrations all merge behind the doctor’s coat with a stethoscope. Kristen’s feed appears again.
KRISTEN: …in really helping them navigate that healthcare journey, there are a variety of solutions that we can access and deploy depending on what the customer’s needs are.
Elizabeth’s feed appears.
ELIZABETH: What we found is, we have to try and incent members to use their quarterback or use their PCP. And the best way to do that, we found, is really partnering with high performance provider systems, and having us incent them to utilize a tier one provider, and really the win-win there is that you get the right care, at the right price, with the right outcome.
A list appears to the right of the feed.

BRETT: We’re really fortunate in the market that I work in that we have many high-performing providers. With that said, our ability to work specifically with some on programs around quality, total cost of care, R.A.C.O.’s, has really driven our network strategy to be differentiated with a handful of those providers.
