As Chief Operating Officer of National Accounts, Alison leads a business that serves more than 540 employers and 10.5 million members, with revenues of approximately $4.2 billion. She oversees operating discipline, strategic initiatives, and network strategy and economics. Alison and the National Accounts team are committed to helping employers, brokers and consultants achieve their health care goals and better manage costs by offering flexible, innovative and affordable solutions that take advantage of the full breadth of UnitedHealth Group’s capabilities.
Alison brings best practices from her 20 years at UnitedHealthcare, where she has promoted operating discipline and led the critical areas of strategic initiatives, sales, sales management and execution. Most recently, as Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, she directly supported the Client Development and Client Management teams, playing a vital role in ensuring client satisfaction, retention and growth. Prior to that, Alison served in leadership roles in Client Relations and Operations, which included management and oversight for major call and claims facilities in the UnitedHealthcare companies. Alison is also an Innovation Champion and a UnitedHealth Group culture facilitator.
Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, Alison held strategic positions in Operations, Sales, Provider Relations and Marketing for Sutter Health and a startup of Amil in Nevada.
Alison graduated with a Bachelor of Science from California State University.
