Steve Burdick

Steve is Senior Vice President of the UnitedHealthcare National Accounts Specialty client group, which provides customized health care benefit and administrative solutions for The State of New York and the Railroad Accounts. Steve has overall responsibility for business strategy, administration and account management for these two major clients.

Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare in 2005, Steve spent more than 20 years at CIGNA HealthCare, where he served in senior-level positions in sales, marketing and operations. During his tenure, he was Vice President of Business Development, where he was responsible for the strategy, management and performance of CIGNA’s national consultant and broker distribution channels. Steve also served in sales leadership roles for CIGNA in North Carolina, Arizona and New York.

Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Hamilton College.

John Cravero

John manages the UnitedHealthcare National Accounts client services and implementation organization and strategic business solutions team, which includes training, quality and project/process improvement work.

He is responsible for providing a seamless, holistic service and implementation experience for clients .

John began his career with UnitedHealth Group in 1985 and has worked in a variety of functions including claims, underwriting, sales, marketing services and client services.

John graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Stonehill College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.

Perry Cannon

Perry is a National Vice President of Client Development, located in our Dallas, Texas office. He is responsible for overseeing client development activities for all prospects within our National Account segment. In addition, he is responsible for client management activities for AT&T and Southwest Airlines.

Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group, Perry was the Director of Account Management in the Dallas office of Towers Watson. In this capacity, his primary areas of focus were managing complex consulting projects and developing new business opportunities. He has 25 years of experience in the design and implementation of health and welfare programs, with an emphasis on the strategic development of health and welfare benefit programs for national employers. Perry began his career working for a large national health plan carrier and was a founder of two start-up companies. In each of his roles, Perry’s responsibilities have centered on benefits strategic planning, relationship management and business development.

Perry holds a bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University with a major in economics.

Craig A. Hipp CEBS

As Senior Vice President of Client Management, Craig is responsible for the overall satisfaction, retention and growth of UnitedHealthcare’s National Account business.  As leader of the West region, he is responsible for leading the teams charged with the growth and retention of more than 200 clients. Craig is focused on ensuring the organization maximizes its core strengths, innovative culture and best practice sharing capabilities to deliver solutions to meet each client’s needs.

Prior to leading the West Region, Craig was Vice President, Private Exchange Strategy for UnitedHealthcare National Accounts.  Private Exchanges are consultant led marketplaces where employers can offer multiple carriers and plan options to their population.  Private Exchanges have been around since 2012 and have been a significant source of growth for National Accounts.  Craig grew the business to more than $1.2B in revenue and serving more than 800,000 consumers.  Craig is responsible for developing the Strategy for how UnitedHealthcare will participate and compete in the Private Exchange space.  Craig led the team responsible for sales and client management functions for clients that have chosen to join a Private Exchange.       

Craig joined UnitedHealth Group in 2002 and has over 25 years of experience the health care industry.  Craig has spent most of his career in National Accounts where he has held various client management roles.  Most recently, Craig held the role of Vice President Client Management where he was responsible for some of the largest relationships in National Accounts through building relationships, and client growth and retention.

 

Prior to UnitedHealthcare, Craig was at HCSC (BCBS IL) where he had various roles in National Accounts focusing on client relationships through growth and retention.

Craig is a graduate of the University of Iowa and received his CEBS degree from the Wharton School of Business.  He completed the General Management Program in Executive Leadership.  Craig lives in Naperville, IL with his wife and three children.

Dayna Latino

As Chief of Staff, Dayna is responsible for streamlining processes and information flow to facilitate business planning and drive execution in support of organizational goals.

Previously, Dayna was Vice President, Public Sector & Specialty Benefits Integration for National Accounts.

She provided the leadership and oversight for the integration of Public Sector and Specialty Business into National Accounts, along with strategy and tactical execution for special strategic initiatives.

Dayna joined UnitedHealth Group in 1996 as a Senior Marketing Services Consultant for Uniprise. Since that time, she has served the company in progressively responsible roles, including Group Financial Underwriter and Director of Strategic Services for Uniprise; Director of Product Implementation, Vice President of Strategic Alliance – Health Care Alliance; Vice President of Sales and Account Management – Child Support Insurance for UnitedHealthcare; and Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and Client Operations for UnitedHealthcare, Public Sector and Labor.

Dayna received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut.

Al Martino

Al currently heads up National Accounts and Student Resources Underwriting. He began his career with UnitedHealthcare in 2004 as Vice President of Business Development for iPlan. Following this, he held various management positions in Underwriting within Definity Health. He headed up Underwriting for Uniprise prior to his current role.

Before joining UnitedHealthcare, Al held several financial and underwriting roles of increasing responsibility with Cigna Healthcare, where he led a department-wide optimization initiative. He also spent time as a health care consultant specializing in consumer-directed offerings.

Al has four college-aged children and is involved in many community organizations, including serving of the Finance Board of his local church. He attended the University of Connecticut, where he studied Finance, and he plays guitar and writes music in his free time.

Jessica Paik

As Senior Vice President of Client Management, Jessica is responsible for the overall satisfaction, retention and growth of UnitedHealthcare’s National Account business.  As leader of the East region, she is responsible for leading the teams charged with the growth and retention of more than 150 clients. Jessica is focused on ensuring the organization maximizes its core strengths, innovative culture and best practice sharing capabilities to deliver solutions to meet each client’s needs.

Prior to leading the East Region, Jessica has spent her 15 years with UHC all in National Accounts running the NY/NJ Region and leading individual client relationships as a Strategic Client Executive.  She has also consulted with clients at Towers Perrin, where she was a Health and Welfare Consultant both in the Boston, MA and New York, NY offices.

At UnitedHealthcare, Jessica has enjoyed her work and won a number of awards which include:

Jessica received her Masters of Science Degree in Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health and her Bachelors of Arts in Public Health from the Johns Hopkins University.  She is based out of New York City and resides in New Jersey with her husband, John, of 12 years and two boys, John Jr. and Christopher.  She sits on the Board of the NorthEast Business Group of Health (NEBGH).

As Chief Operating Officer of National Accounts, Alison leads a business that serves more than 540 employers and 10.5 million members, with revenues of approximately $4.2 billion. She oversees operating discipline, strategic initiatives, and network strategy and economics. Alison and the National Accounts team are committed to helping employers, brokers and consultants achieve their health care goals and better manage costs by offering flexible, innovative and affordable solutions that take advantage of the full breadth of UnitedHealth Group’s capabilities.

Alison brings best practices from her 20 years at UnitedHealthcare, where she has promoted operating discipline and led the critical areas of strategic initiatives, sales, sales management and execution. Most recently, as Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, she directly supported the Client Development and Client Management teams, playing a vital role in ensuring client satisfaction, retention and growth. Prior to that, Alison served in leadership roles in Client Relations and Operations, which included management and oversight for major call and claims facilities in the UnitedHealthcare companies. Alison is also an Innovation Champion and a UnitedHealth Group culture facilitator.

Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, Alison held strategic positions in Operations, Sales, Provider Relations and Marketing for Sutter Health and a startup of Amil in Nevada.

Alison graduated with a Bachelor of Science from California State University.

Rick Viesta

As Chief Actuary, Rick has oversight of several actuarial and analytical functions, including Network Analytics, Clinical Analytics, Benefit Strategy and Private Exchange pricing strategy.

Previously, Rick led the Information Solutions Group within UnitedHealthcare Employer and Individual, where he oversaw the development and maintenance of a suite of actuarial and underwriting applications including rating, financial and customer reporting platforms for Key Accounts, National Accounts and Small Business.

Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare in 2005, Rick spent 12 years at the Guardian Life Insurance Company, where he held several positions, most recently serving as Vice President of Group Medical leading Guardian's health care business unit.

Rick earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Albany, where he majored in mathematics and minored in computer science. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Rick lives in Oyster Bay, New York with his wife Elizabeth and their two children.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Randy Weinstock

As Chief Financial Officer for UnitedHealthcare, National Accounts, Randy is responsible for setting and executing the financial plan for our 11 million members and approximately $4.5 billion in revenue.  Randy evaluates risks and opportunities, develops and drives financial strategies, and executes on key initiatives for the National Accounts business.

Randy brings more than 20 years’ experience working in the healthcare industry.  Prior to this role, Randy was the Underwriting Vice President of the Northeast Region.  He also served as Vice President of Key Accounts Underwriting nationally and, prior to that, Vice President of the Actuarial Pricing department.  Before joining UnitedHealthcare, Randy led the Pricing & Underwriting organization for Oxford Health Plans. 

Randy currently serves on the Board of Directors for Oxford Health Plans and Oxford Health Insurance.  He previously served on the Board for the Health Reinsurance Association and Connecticut Small Employer Health Reinsurance Pool. He is also a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries. Randy chairs the Finance Committee for the Jewish Community Foundation as well, serving on their board.

Randy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University, where he majored in Actuarial Science and minored in Mathematics.  He lives in West Hartford, Connecticut with his wife, Melissa, and their three children.
