The Kansas Insurance Department (KID) recently issued a reminder of its policies and procedures for advertising life insurance in Kansas.
All insurance corporations and employees who advertise life insurance are fully responsible for the content of advertisements they develop and/or distribute, according to Article K.A.R. 40-9-118. Conditions apply to any third parties developing and/or distributing advertising content on behalf of an insurer. Any insurer, employee or third party that fails to comply with Kansas law may face regulatory action.
Any advertising materials related to UnitedHealthcare and its subsidiaries that are not created or provided by UnitedHealthcare must be approved before they are used.
If you have any questions as to how you can advertise in Kansas or about your relationship with UnitedHealthcare, please contact your UnitedHealthcare representative.
