The collaboration between Canopy Health and UnitedHealthcare is designed to bring quality care and greater savings to the Bay Area with market competitive premiums and lower out-of-pocket costs, plus access to Canopy’s community of quality providers, including John Muir, Hill Physicians and UCSF. The plan is available in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz counties, along with part of Solano and Sonoma counties.
Our approach is simple and transparent, helping employees and their families choose, understand and access the right care where they live, work and play. Doctors Plan features a dedicated Northern California service team focused on answering member questions about both their health care and health plan.
California Doctors Plan offers:
- More savings and lower out-of-pocket costs.
- More access, allowing employees and their families to choose from thousands of primary care providers (PCPs) and specialists from anywhere in the Canopy Health network. Doctors Plan does not require a referral to see a specialist, and members may see all Canopy Health network providers, not just those in their PCP’s medical group.
