New benefits program could save you up to 4 percent on medical premiums

With uBundle, employers can benefit from reduced medical premiums and a simplified experience for employees

An attractive benefits program helps businesses recruit and retain talent. In fact, 85 percent of Americans who work full-time said having vision and dental benefit options is important during open enrollment.1 Here are two ways UnitedHealthcare can help address the costs and complexities that come with the administration of a broad array of medical and specialty benefit plans.

A winning combination of savings and simplicity

uBundle™ helps companies with between 51 and 2,999 employees save on the cost of their UnitedHealthcare medical premiums.2 When specialty benefits such as dental, vision, life, disability or supplemental health coverages are purchased with medical benefits, it results in cost savings that can accumulate to up to 4 percent if all qualifying plans are offered.3 Savings for coverage on just one of the benefits can range from .25 percent to 2 percent, depending on what is selected. Consider an organization with 500 employees saving nearly $200,000in the first year if it were to purchase these specialty benefits along with a traditional medical plan. uBundle can do this.

uBundle helps employers provide their employees with more opportunities to maximize the value of their benefits by compiling formerly separate employee benefit offerings into one package. In a world where employees need to remember multiple passwords and security questions, uBundle offers a one-stop-shop where employees can view and manage multiple benefit plans in one location. The goal: A holistic approach to health care that encourages employees to take a more active role in their well-being.

“uBundle’s whole-person approach to health is designed to better serve the more than 32 million Americans UnitedHealthcare serves with ancillary benefits,” says Tom Wiffler, CEO of UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits. “More than 80 percent of employees say having specialty benefit plans is important to them, so uBundle makes it easier and more cost-effective for employers to offer this type of coverage.”

uBundle simplifies the administration of multiple plans into one bundled package of benefits. The same dedicated account team consults and supports across all the bundled benefits, plus there is a single eligibility and enrollment process and one bill.  A unified, self-administered website makes it even simpler.
