Southeast Michigan-area employers have the potential to save up to 15% on monthly premiums with a new health plan from UnitedHealthcare. The plan’s network consists exclusively of Beaumont Health, the state’s largest health system, to deliver affordable, patient-centered care.
Eligible participants have access to Beaumont’s 8 hospitals and 145 outpatient sites throughout Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties, as well as Beaumont’s network of 5,000 affiliated physicians and specialists – all without a referral.
The new plan will be available with fully insured and self-funded UnitedHealthcare benefit plans. Employers with 51 or more employees will have access beginning July 1. Businesses with 2 to 50 employees will have access starting Jan. 1, 2020. The plan is also available to employers who have a majority of their employees living in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties, even if their offices or facilities are located in other Michigan counties.
