MedExpress, a national network of urgent care centers that provide walk-in treatment for patients, is expanding in Florida. Earlier this year, MedExpress opened new care centers in Estero and Jacksonville. The company also is adding infusion therapy to its list of offerings in select Florida markets.
MedExpress recently partnered with specialty pharmaceutical provider, BriovaRX, to provide infusion therapy for patients. Infusion therapy involves administering medication intravenously, and is used to treat conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease and multiple sclerosis. These services are currently only available at four MedExpress locations in Florida, including Clearwater, Coral Spring, Tampa and Jacksonville.
The MedExpress network consists of 250 centers in 19 states, and continues to expand across the country. In January, Nevada opened its first four MedExpress centers, with two more opening later this year. All MedExpress care centers offer treatment for illnesses and injuries, wellness exams and employer health services. Each center is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, including weekends, and no appointments are required.
