Our commitment to the Metro Atlanta community

UnitedHealthcare believes everyone should have access to high-quality, more affordable health care.

Providing access to quality care is our top priority.

Working with health care providers to build collaborative, performance-based relationships – and putting the patient at the center of the health care experience — are at the foundation of the provider network we want to offer the people we serve.

We understand and appreciate how disruptive it can be for our members if their hospital or physician no longer participates in our network. That is why we want to make sure every UnitedHealthcare member in the Atlanta area is familiar with the many other options that remain despite Piedmont Healthcare’s decision to no longer participate in UnitedHealthcare’s network for commercial and individual health plans.

Supporting the care of our members.

UnitedHealthcare members may be able to continue receiving care from Piedmont doctors and facilities with network coverage for a period of time, such as members who are pregnant or undergoing active treatment for a serious medical condition. This is called Continuity of Care. To see if you’re eligible, call the toll-free customer service number on your UnitedHealthcare health plan ID card.

Offering a broad choice of health care professionals.

UnitedHealthcare members have access to more than 10,000 physicians and 20 hospitals around the greater Atlanta area.
