UHC Store feature: Elektra Health provides support and guidance for menopause
In the U.S., 8 to 10 million women experience menopause symptoms in any given year — yet only a small percentage are receiving effective treatment.1
Companies like Elektra Health are working to help change that trajectory — reimagining menopause health and education in a way that provides more supportive, evidence-based guidance, resources and support.
What is Elektra Health?
Founded over six years ago, Elektra Health is committed to dismantling taboos around menopause, while giving women tools and support.
With the Elektra Health platform, members can:
- Access over 100 hours of evidence-based tips and education to help manage symptoms
- Get paired 1:1 with an Elektra Coach to ask questions and build a personalized wellness plan
- Join educational virtual events with menopause specialists
- Connect with a supportive community
A coach can also provide ongoing lifestyle support. This might mean tips for easing symptoms to help writing down a checklist of questions before a doctor’s appointment, which we have heard can be overwhelming in the moment.
What can Elektra Health provide support for?
- Hot flashes: This is the most common menopause symptom,2 and can continue for long periods of time
- Sleep issues: Low levels of progesterone can make it harder to fall and stay asleep
- Menopause-adjacent health concerns like high cholesterol, hypertension, anxiety or depression
