Geovese’s personal experience inspires compassion for Medicaid members

I'm Geovese.

I assist our members with navigating care, getting prescriptions, and care coordination.

Okay, so that's not a problem. I see what happened.

You get to see somebody get that surgery or the services or the therapies that they need.

Just being able to make a difference in somebody's life, you probably have 10 or 15 of those cases a day.

So just imagine how many thank yous you get, how many smiles you get. When you think about it, it's pretty amazing.

My life outside of work, that's the best part of me.

I am a mom of three kids, and then I'm also a grandmother of three beautiful boys.

Being a grandma is the best promotion. It's, like, you love your kids, but this is like love on a whole other level.

I know how much I love my family, and I know how much I love them being happy, them being safe, and them being protected, them being healthy. And so, I know that person on the other end of the phone call has that same feeling that I have. And so, you want to make sure that you can at least do your part into making sure that they have that care.

My younger sister passed away from cancer a few years ago, and we didn't know she was sick.

That translates to what I do.

You just want to make sure that they know on the other end of that phone, I honestly care, and I'm here.

And so my infamous line when I hang up is, save my number, write that down, and call me, and I'm more than happy to help.
