UnitedHealthcare and Sanitas team up to deliver quality, affordable health care across San Antonio
In some areas, accessing affordable care that’s tailored to your personal needs may be a challenge. It can be difficult to know where to go for health care and what providers may be out of network — and therefore, a higher cost. With this in mind, UnitedHealthcare and Sanitas are collaborating to make health care easier, more affordable, and more accessible for people in San Antonio, Texas.
This collaboration is about more than just coverage – it’s about supporting healthier communities. By creating a brand-new network of providers across San Antonio, UnitedHealthcare and Sanitas help ensure care is not only affordable and convenient, but culturally relevant and rooted in trust.
“UnitedHealthcare is thrilled to team up with Sanitas to bring San Antonio residents the high-quality and culturally competent care they deserve,” said Claudia Amaya, regional vice president of Hispanic Initiatives & Central States for UnitedHealthcare. “Sanitas’ commitment to providing integrated primary, mental health, and virtual services not only aims to improve health outcomes but also enhance access to quality care.”
What makes the Sanitas plan different?
Sanitas Medical Centers are exclusive to members who enroll in a UnitedHealthcare-Sanitas ACA Marketplace plan. Members will receive care from Sanitas providers at nine Sanitas Medical Centers located across San Antonio, ensuring a streamlined experience and lower out-of-pocket costs. Each member’s dedicated Sanitas primary care provider (PCP) helps guide all aspects of a person’s care, including referrals to in-network specialists. This value-based care approach is designed to improve health outcomes while keeping costs low.
This partnership features many benefits, including:
- More one-on-one time with a Sanitas PCP who will coordinate all care, virtually and in person, and refer a person to partner specialists as needed
- Affordable care with lower premiums and lower copays
- Many PCPs who speak Spanish
- Access to quality providers at convenient Sanitas Medical Center locations across San Antonio, including Alamo Heights, Castle Hills, Downtown, Leon Valley, Live Oak, Northwest, Southside, Stone Oak, and Westover Hills
