Ambient music plays throughout. Two people stand at a table in a stylish, day-lit atrium having tea. One, a man in a blazer, talks as the other, a woman in a white blouse, listens as she jots down thoughts in a notebook. Now the woman interviews from a couch in an open office space. A blue bar slides into the bottom left of the screen containing white text.

SARA: I decided to be a mentor because I have had the fortune of working with two other businesses that came out of the accelerator for the past two years, and it's been a great experience. A smaller company is a lot more agile than we are at times, and then that allows us to really work together and shape what we need for our business and for our members.

KAYLENE: In a lot of ways, the mentors make the program. It's not just the knowledge that they kind of bring to whatever it is they're working on, but it's a really bidirectional relationship.

SARA: Really, what I've been getting out of these experiences is it's just mental mind shift. A lot of times we get so heads down into the problem or solution that we're trying to solve. That's very UHC centric. Having this program and opportunity has really given us, you know, an hour to two hours a week have the conversation that is out of our workspace and really kind of shift via the kind of tactical mental mindset into thinking about an innovative mindset.

PETE: There is the sweet spot on what we can accomplish together. When a big company looks to innovate in partnership with startups. Hopefully, if successful, we’ll have a meaningful impact on health care, both reducing costs, increasing access, improving health equity. All this startups here that are part of the program, I think, offer those potential benefits, but they won't be realized unless there's people that are willing to partner with them.
