UnitedHealthcare hosts special event with Ziaire Williams, Special Olympics NY
Training camp in Brooklyn
For teams getting ready to compete in the upcoming 2026 Special Olympics USA Games, preparation and training is everything. For one lucky team in New York, that meant a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get professional advice and personal training from a local basketball star.
Inside the Brooklyn Basketball Training Center, athletes from the NYC Manhattan Wildcats Basketball team were treated to a special training camp session hosted by UnitedHealthcare, with coaches of the Brooklyn Basketball Center and one special guest, Brooklyn forward Ziaire Williams.
The athletes did drills with the state-of-the-art Shoot 360 technology that accelerates ball handling skills through high repetition, real-time feedback and guided virtual workouts. The team was also given the chance to show off their skills on the court with Ziaire, plus coaches and trainers.
UnitedHealthcare is a proud sponsor of the NYC Manhattan Wildcats Basketball team, which will be participating in the upcoming 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in June — of which UnitedHealthcare is a co-presenting sponsor.
