UnitedHealthcare recognized for Medicare Advantage quality and member experience

For people choosing a Medicare Advantage plan, quality and experience can matter just as much as the benefits themselves. A new recognition from U.S. News & World Report highlights UnitedHealthcare’s continued focus on both, naming the company a Best Insurance Company – Medicare Advantage for the third year in a row.

UnitedHealthcare was also named a Highest Satisfaction Medicare Advantage company for a second consecutive year.

“Being recognized for three years in a row is a reflection of the extraordinary commitment our teams bring to serving Medicare consumers every day,” said Betsy Chin, CEO of UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement. “We’re proud of this recognition and remain focused on delivering quality coverage and an experience that helps our members feel supported throughout their health care journey.”

For the 2027 recognition, U.S. News evaluated insurers using 31 CMS quality measures, according to information provided for the 2027 awards. Measures were weighted based on their relevance to consumers, with greater weight given to coverage options with more seniors enrolled.

UnitedHealthcare was recognized nationally as a Best Insurance Company for Medicare Advantage and received the designation in 33 individual states, extending the recognition to communities across the country.
