When it’s time to review your health insurance options, your employer may offer something called a high-deductible health plan. These plans typically have a lower monthly cost (the premium). But you may need to pay more toward your care (the deductible) before your plan starts to pay.

There’s a special bank account that may help you save for and pay your deductible. It’s called a health savings account (HSA). And here’s how it works:
