  • Your relationship with your primary care provider (PCP) is important. With a plan from UnitedHealthcare, your Kelsey-Seybold Clinic PCP can help guide you in your care. Your Kelsey-Seybold Clinic PCP can help you get care from specialists, order labs and screenings, answer questions about your care and prescriptions, and more. 
  • You don't need a referral to see a Kelsey-Seybold Clinic specialist. You can simply find one on the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic website and schedule an appointment with them directly. However, if there is a condition that a Kelsey-Seybold Clinic specialist does not treat, a Kelsey provider will refer you to an affiliate specialist. If you see a provider who is not in the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic network or an affiliate, you may be responsible to pay the full out-of-pocket amount.
  • Stay in network and save money. Your Kelsey-Seybold PCP will coordinate your care, Kelsey-Seybold providers are always in-network. If needed, Kelsey-Seybold will refer you to an in-network affiliate which will help you avoid any surprise costs. Services received from providers outside of the network will not be covered (except for emergency care).
