How to enroll
Special enrollment process for Bexar, Dallas, Harris and Hidalgo counties
Starting January 1, 2027, UnitedHealthcare will offer a Medicare Advantage Integrated D-SNP plan in these counties. If you enroll in this plan and are eligible for STAR+PLUS, the Texas Health and Human Services Commission will automatically enroll you in UnitedHealthcare for STAR+PLUS if you are not already a UnitedHealthcare STAR+PLUS member.

It may be time to renew your Medicaid coverage soon. If more information is needed to complete your yearly renewal, the Health and Human Services Commission will contact you. If you haven’t already, check into the requirements to keep your UnitedHealthcare coverage.
If you’re eligible for work requirements, you may need to renew your health coverage 2 times per year and show that you’re working, going to school or job training or helping in the community.
